Fees & FAQ's

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends standard consultation fees for psychologists.  The recommended fee for a standard psychological consultation of 50 minutes is $300.00.  Psychologists are able to vary this fee at their discretion.

A medical rebate is available for clients referred by their GP with a Mental Health Care Plan. When assessed as eligible, adults and children are able to access up to ten sessions in any calendar year. Rebates are claimed through the Medicare online claim system or by visiting a local Medicare office with proof of receipt provider number and item number.

More information can be found here.

This year the rebate per session has been set by Medicare at: (from 1st July 2025)

  • $145.25 rebate for a session with a clinical psychologist.
  • $98.97 rebate for a session with a general psychologist.

Appointments can be changed or cancelled up to 48 hours in advance. If you cancel your appointment with less that 48 hours notice or you do not attend without providing notice, you will be charged the full fee for this session. Please also be aware that rebates through Medicare or private health insurance are not available for cancelled or unattended appointments.

Subsidised Support

We partner with local not-for-profit agency Nourish DBC to provide subsidised psychology services for people who would otherwise not be able to afford clinical care. For more information visit the Nourish DBC website here, or chat to our team.
